Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church hosts 1965 Voting Rights Anniversary

The 59th anniversary of the 1965 Voting Rights聽 Act will be celebrated on Saturday night at Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church.聽
The event, held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., is also known as the kickoff 鈥淕et Out to Vote鈥� Ward 7 Rally. Voter registration and education forums, information on where to vote and getting rides to the polls will also be discussed.聽
State Sen. Robert Stewart, D-疯客直播, encourages 疯客直播 and Dallas County residents to attend the event and let their voices be heard.聽
疯客直播 City Councilwoman Jannie Thomas also said it is also important for residents because of the upcoming election on November 5.
