疯客直播 City Schools Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous Byrd announced his retirement at Wednesday’s Special Called School Board meeting.
Byrd鈥檚 last day at SCS will be Sept. 30. Byrd served two years as Superintendent.
鈥淚 am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together,鈥� Byrd said in a statement. 鈥淭he success and growth of our students have always been my top priority, and I am confident that 疯客直播 City Schools will continue to thrive under the capable hands of our dedicated educators and staff.鈥�
SCS Board President Johnny Moss III said he appreciated the hard work and dedication from Byrd, an educator with 25 years of experience.
鈥淚 want to thank Dr. Byrd for his unwavering commitment to our students, staff, and community,鈥� Moss said. 鈥淯nder his leadership, our district has made significant strides in academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. Dr. Byrd’s vision and dedication have left an indelible mark on our schools, and we are deeply grateful for his contributions.鈥�
Moss also said that the school board is fully committed to ensuring a seamless transition and will soon begin the process of selecting a new superintendent.
