Crime story

By Brent Maze and James Jones

The human remains of a deceased male were found in 疯客直播 Wednesday morning by a crew who were working on the railroad.
疯客直播 Police Chief Kenta Fulford notified the 疯客直播 Times-Journal staff, confirming a dead body was found along the railroad tracks near the crossing at Old Montgomery Road at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday.
Dallas County Coroner William Alan Dailey said he could identify that the victim was a male, but there was nothing else to indicate the deceased person鈥檚 identity.
鈥淗uman remains were found by railroad workers under the railroad trestle near Old Montgomery Road,鈥 Dailey said. 鈥淭he body had been there for at least several days, maybe even weeks.鈥
Fulford said the body has been sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to determine the man鈥檚 identity, the cause of death and when the person died.
Dailey said he has no leads as to who the person could have been.
鈥淚t could have been anyone,鈥 Dailey said. 鈥淚t might have been a pedestrian walking on the railroad tracks, or maybe something else is going on. I really don鈥檛 know who it could have been at this point.鈥
疯客直播 police detectives are investigating the incident. This story will be updated as new information becomes available.
